Since March 2018, Wecair, the international training school for airline pilots, will be offering theoretical training in English on the Aerocampus at Latresne, near Bordeaux.
Wecair has been boosted by the growth in air transport and demand for pilots, and has chosen to establish itself at the heart of the 3rd-largest aeronautics hub in France, offering a new training program for future pilots from around the world.
A response to a need from airlines
Wecair is a truly European program, offering its students innovative training. The theoretical training program runs for 9 months on the Aquitaine Aerocampus, an excellence hub in aeronautics training.
After this, students continue their training in Brussels, in a complex, enriching airspace, to meet companies’ needs. There is even a chance to pursue a training module in Florida. The goal is to train pilots to be immediately operational and able to join companies with ease.
The first intake, open to 25 students, will start the program in March 2018. Enrolments are open.
Recruitments in Bordeaux
Associates Philippe Borghini, former fighter pilot in business aviation, and Krista Vandermeulen, Business Developer, chose Bordeaux, a dynamic city with an international outlook, in order to attract students from around the globe.
They are looking to recruit around ten people in the coming three years, mainly instructors, but also a sales team.
Invest in Bordeaux played a key role in connecting the company with the main actors in aeronautics in the region.
