Vinexpo, the international venue for the wine and spirits industry, take place in Bordeaux from 14 to 18 June with a completely new look and offer.
For five days it will be THE place for the entire industry to gather and network!
It is the first time in the history of the exhibition that Vinexpo was inaugurated by the head of the state, President François Hollande.
“Today Bordeaux is not only the Capital of the region,” declared the President of the Republic.
“It is an exhibition venue for the whole of France, the Capital of the World of wines and spirits. I came to Vinexpo to meet the actors of an industry that represents the excellence of the French ‘art de vivre.’ We must sustain the industry’s growth and its position worldwide: We are the number one and we need to remain it.”
A major professional event of the international wine and spirits trade, Vinexpo gathers 2,350 exhibitors from more than 42 countries. More than 45,000 buyers from 120 nations are expected to attend during the five days of the event.
An unparalleled audience makes Vinexpo the worldwide showcase and number one exhibition for wines and spirits in the world.
France, the world’s biggest wine producer in 2014 with an annual production of 523 million 12-bottle cases, have 63% of stand space and is promoting products from its 17 wine-producing regions, including Bordeaux, Provence, the Loire Valley, Champagne and Burgundy.
Long-time exhibitors Italy and Spain, which with France account for 50% of global production, is also be there. This year, in addition to their flagship brands, they will be showcasing new products, including many sparkling wines, for which demand is skyrocketing.
Completing the top-10 exhibitor line-up are Portugal, Chile, Argentina, the USA, the UK, Germany and South Africa.
A wide range of spirits – brandy, vodka, rum, whisky, gin and Armagnac – will feature prominently at Vinexpo.
