Vecto, founded in 2006, is a French company which distributes authentic Danish Christiania delivery tricycles.
They have been assembled in Bordeaux since the beginning of the year.
These utility bicycles, especially intended for the transporting of children or goods, street vending and events advertising, are being used more widely. This surge of bikes in the city is an indication of a new form of active and responsible transport.
“I chose to come to Bordeaux, a location ranked the 4th most bike friendly city in the world*, sensitive to environmental issues as well as to the art of good living, because there are numerous opportunities and a genuine political desire to promote this mode of transport”.
At the time of its establishment in the city of Bordeaux, Vecto launched a new rental service for professionals (which the market was previously lacking) and developed its range by offering new specific models created with the assistance of local businesses such as recycled boat tarpaulins, or even models customised for street food vending.
