UX Republic opened an office in Bordeaux in the summer of 2018 to support companies pursuing innovation and digital transformation. The company is now accelerating its development in the South-West region.
It plans to recruit 10 new consultants in 2020 and is expecting turnover to increase by 30%!
A bigger team and a move
Since Sébastien Berten’s return to Bordeaux, the founder of consulting agency UX-Republic, supported by Invest in Bordeaux, has confirmed his choice of establishing the company in French people’s favourite city for work.
The current team of 12 staff members come from a variety of educational backgrounds, including training from Bordeaux schools and universities (Digital Campus, ENSC, ECV Digital, ESTEI, École de Condé, Université Montaigne). Some staff members have moved from Paris to return to the city or discover Bordeaux for the first time. The agency is located right in the centre of Bordeaux, behind the Bordeaux Museum of Fine Arts, in Rue Elisée Reclus.
It has also expanded its Senior Management, with Laetitia Faliere joining the team. Faliere previously worked for Fullsix digital agency and for Vertone in strategy and digital transformation consultancy. She now leads the team of consultants and is in charge of UX-Republic’s commercial development in the South-West region.
The goal is to meet the needs of local companies and institutions to improve their user-centred design methods to create or update their services and products.
UX-Republic already works with excellent corporate clients (from large groups to start-ups), providing consulting services and training in the areas of e-commerce, software development, large-scale distribution, industry, real estate, finance, and education: Cdiscount, mieuxplacer.com, Dekra Automotive Solutions, Airbus, Pierre Fabre…
The team also organises “UX Stars” meetups (6 meetups in one year in Bordeaux), to discuss issues related to UX, feedback from consultants and digital professionals (project managers, PO, developers) that it shares with the local ecosystem.
As experts on the entire user-centred design process, UX-Republic’s team of consultants uses design techniques (design thinking, design sprint, lean UX) to support everything from strategy to the development of digital interfaces. It also works to convince client teams of the value this creates both for businesses and staff members involved in the process.
The company also creates connections with schools like Digital Campus and Ecole Supérieure du Digital to share and stay involved in the local ecosystem.
