
Five Bordeaux researchers are featured in the latest ranking of the world’s most cited researchers in scientific publications.
The analysis conducted by the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) identified 3,215 of the most influential researchers who had been quoted in scientific literature.
Of these researchers, 91 French people from 21 fields have been included in the new list. In this ranking, Bordeaux was equal to Toulouse and was placed above Montpellier and Lyon.
Yves Gibon, Francesco d’Errico, Rémy Petit, Marian Vanhaeren and Michel Haïssaguerre are thus among the most recognised researchers in the world. They represent and reflect the areas of excellence of Bordeaux University in particular in archeology, cardiology, the environment, plant and social sciences.
