The Universities of Bordeaux and the Basque Country signed an international cooperation framework agreement on 19 November, in Bordeaux, for the development of the project for a Euroregional international campus of excellence.
The Euroregion Aquitaine-Euskadi has made cooperation between the universities the focus of its strategy for the period 2014-2020.
This agreement formalises an alliance based around a long-term development plan begun in 2012.
The development plan involves more than 100,000 students and 18,000 researchers with a major impact on the euroregion’s economic development.
