A world leader in the design and development of cutting systems (software programmes, machines) for industries that use flexible materials, such as fashion and the motor and furnishings industries, the Lectra group has enjoyed a significant increase in activity in 2015 and is expecting an 11% increase in its sales.
Founded in Bordeaux Region, Lectra employs 600 people at its R&D and production site in Cestas near Bordeaux, part of a world-wide team of nearly 1,500 employees.
New investments totalling €50 million are being made on this historic site, with the construction of nearly 2,500 m² of additional buildings devoted to the development of the R&D division, which already employs 260 people.
China, the motor industry and PLM software for fashion and apparel are the 3 main drivers of growth for 2015 and 2016.
