The tour operator specialising in tailor-made and small group trips is establishing a base in Bordeaux. With Paris as its historic headquarters (2010), Terres Lointaines opened a second office in the heart of the capital of the Aquitaine region in August, determined to make this the pendant to its Paris office.
The tour operator offers 100 long and medium-haul destinations. The Bordeaux hub is now responsible for Latin America and Southeast Asia.
“Our business comes primarily through the Internet, so we had no obligations or constraints regarding location for this project. It is the quality of life, vitality and attractiveness of Bordeaux which played in favour of this choice, one that was quickly reinforced by a recent survey positioning the city as the most attractive in France!”
Of the 35 employees in Paris, 10 immediately wanted to settle here and the next rounds of recruitment will be primarily in Bordeaux,” says William Reynaert, founder and President of Terres Lointaines.
Ten new recruits with a professional training contract have just joined the ranks of the company and five specialised consultants should be hired by the end of the year.
Will Bordeaux become a springboard for this start-up with headroom for steadily increasing growth?
