The start-up company TEEO has recently joined the business incubator at the Écoparc de Blanquefort, near Bordeaux. Established in October 2013, this organisation’s aim is to help companies and local authorities save money by taking charge of their energy management.
For example, the company, which describes itself as a sort of management controller specialising in energy, helps them obtain the international ISO 50 001 certification (energy management system), in partnership with AFNOR.
TEEO has a strong belief: energy transition is more a question of organisation than of technology.
“Bordeaux is a growing city whose urban development projects are creating a strong demand for energy management. We are planning to work in collaboration with the universities, and benefit from the IT skills that are available in the region.” confides Arnaud Gheysens, who has started a project with the City of Bordeaux and is planning to create 30 or so jobs in 5 years, spread between offices in Reunion Island and Bordeaux.
