Specialising in biochemistry and haematology, the company SFRI, located in the Bordeaux metro area, has acquired an Italian business which has immunology as its focus, and is supporting the construction of a haematology and biochemistry reagents factory in Cameroon.
This company with 25 employees at the Gironde Head Office manufactures automatic haematology and biochemistry analysers with customised reagents, enabling In Vitro Diagnostics (DIV), namely blood analysis or other sample analysis taken from patients.
It offers more than 150 products which primarily meet the demands of medical laboratories located in developing countries.
SFRI sells 95% of its products overseas to almost 80 developing countries, including India, China, Uruguay and Cameroon.
At the beginning of the year, SFRI took control of a small Italian business which specialises in immunology, in order to diversify its field of activity.
The aim of its CEO, Gilles Mougin, is to develop a range of reagents compatible with automatic analysers in this field.
