With space of 19,500 m², the Aquitaine Optics Institute combines research, technology transfer and training in the field of optics. It relies upon four additional organisations:
• IOGS (Institute of Optics Graduate School): its engineer training, its Innovation Course (FIE) and its new mixed unit combining research and the Photonic, Digital and Nanosciences Laboratoy (LP2N)
• ALPhANOV , the Aquitaine centre for the transfer of optical technologies
• Initial and ongoing training from the University of Bordeaux – PYLA
• ALPhA “Route des lasers” competitiveness cluster that unites personnel, skills and resources in the Aquitaine region.
