Bordeaux-based Azendoo, which is developing a collaborative work application, has today announced a $1.5 million fundraiser to accelerate its development and support its focus on marketing professions.
This fundraiser was carried out with the investors Arnaud Vinciguerra and Thibault Poutrel, and the business accelerator TheFamily. Launched in 2012, following a first fundraiser conducted with Halisol, the application Azendoo is today used by 300,000 professionals across the world, and its premium version has been sold in more than 80 countries.
More comprehensive than the traditional collaboration tools, Azendoo does not focus only on communication and aims to redefine the rules of team organization. The application centralizes all the actions, tasks, documents and cloud applications of a team, thus reducing unproductive e-mail exchange.
Voted “Best Multi-Platform App” by Evernote, Azendoo’s revenue has been doubling every six months for in excess of 18 months. The collaboration application has particularly expanded its growth in marketing uses such as event organization, planning campaigns or synchronization of creative teams. Agencies and marketing departments have also adopted Azendoo to harmonize their discussions during product launches, or to deliver quality services to their clients.
General Director and co-founder of Azendoo, Grégory Lefort said: “The organization of project teams has evolved greatly in recent times. We have set ourselves the task of helping these teams and marketing agencies to follow and anticipate trends, to improve their way of working”.
The market for communication and chat in companies has recently seen the rapid emergence of some start-ups, however organization of team projects remains a general problem.
Grégory Lefort said: “We would like work to again become a pleasant experience by simplifying team synchronization”.
Last month, the start-up unveiled Task-Pilot, a total redevelopment of its collaborative tasks system to improve design, ease of use and performance.
This fundraiser will be used primarily to further develop the application, negotiate new partnerships and boost the growth of Azendoo.
