American logistics firm Martin Brower will be investing €12 million in the creation of its new logistics hub in Saint-Médard-d’Eyrans close to Bordeaux and will create 10 to 15 more jobs.
Martin Brower France, which deals with the logistics of MCDONALD’S FRANCE restaurants, has one of its 56 European distribution centres close to Bordeaux. The site, which employs 52 staff, handles around 6 million parcels a year and supplies 112 restaurants.
To cope with the growth of its sole client, this establishment is launching a new logistics hub close to its current site, representing 7,200m2 and requiring an investment of €12 million, which should be operational by summer 2016. It will be able to supply more than 200 restaurants with 3 deliveries a week.
American company Martin Bower started its logistics partnership with McDonald in 1956.
To handle the logistics activity of all “consumables”, Martin Brower has 290 trucks transporting 525,000 tons of merchandise a year.
