PNY Technologies, a subsidiary of the American PNY group, based in Mérignac and a leader in the IT market, presented, for the first time in Europe, the AIRI (Artificial Intelligence Ready Infrastructure) converged infrastructure dedicated to supercomputing, used notably in an AI learning process.
As a major player in the markets for memory modules and cards, USB sticks, SSD discs, graphics cards and NVIDIA GPU servers, PNY Technologies has enjoyed unprecedented success with a fast-growing turnover.
A world first in the field of artificial intelligence!
PNY Technologies developed this ground-breaking solution in its new facility, PNY Lab, which specialises in the new markets of AI and virtualisation. The solution was launched during the GTC conference in San José last March.
It combines the NVIDIA DGX-1 GPU computing system with NAS storage bays in FlashBlade scale-out mode built by Pure Storage.
PNY, the sole partner of this launch, installed the system in its Mérignac premises in order to train some of its strategic partners. This was the first time the system operated outside of the Pure Storage laboratories and it performed successfully!
The AIRI system is a certified and pre-tested turnkey solution which eliminates the need for companies to spend time revalidating the entire system.
PNY is the sole distributor of the AIRI solution in Europe and is geared towards all industrial needs requiring high-end computing associated with large volumes of data.
Growth based on international development
PNY Technologies employs 120 people in Mérignac, the European headquarters of the New Jersey-based American group. The group has locations all around the world, in particular in North America, Latin America and Europe.
The company is breaking into new markets in Asia (India, Dubai, etc.), in addition to consumer and professional markets, and is placing great stakes on the growth of artificial intelligence.
The PNY Lab which has just opened in the Bordeaux site, enables international prospects to test their neural networks, for example, with server solutions sold by PNY.
