Panotec, whose headquarters are based in the north of Italy, is opening a French subsidiary near Bordeaux. The leading producer of machines to manufacture customized cardboard, Panotec is looking to establish Bordeaux as its base for expansion in French-speaking countries.
A structure in France to accompany its growth
Panotec designs and produces machines and systems allowing industries and e-retailers to produce their own corrugated cardboard packaging, fully adapted to their products and deliveries.
This new packaging concept, known as Box On Demand, rationalizes packaging procurement, affords significant logistics gains, saves time in preparation and packing and shakes up existing methods by enabling users of this new technology to boost their profits.
The manufacturer currently boasts some thirty facilities in France and 850 throughout the world with customers such as Amazon or major industrial firms.
To support its growth in France, the company chose to create Panotec France in Yvrac, which will be responsible for overseeing all French projects. The Bordeaux subsidiary will also supervise the company’s presence in other French-speaking countries.
The logistical advantages of Bordeaux
The Yvrac site on the right bank will oversee projects in their study and sample phases while demonstrating the possibilities of these integration systems; it will also serve as the Center for remote monitoring of installed machines.
With a high-speed rail link to Paris in 2 hours, a well-developed airport and the A10 motorway which puts Brittany just 4 hours away, Bordeaux’s location will enable effective expansion and an enhanced response to customers.
The Bordeaux region, home, like Italy, to a vast wine area, also offers advantageous quality of life to attract customers.
The team will consist in 3 full-time employees, which is likely to grow as the company settles in.
