Ubleam, the Toulouse-based start-up specialized in the use of augmented reality has chosen Bordeaux as the location for its 2nd office, at the co-working space Le Village By CA.
The start-up, created in 2011, simplifies the use of objects through its intuitive, mobile-based augmented reality solution.
The Bleam smart logo ousts the QR code
After a second round of fundraising of €1.25 million in April 2017, the Toulouse-based company is opening a second office in Bordeaux to speed up its development.
The patented smart logo technology called “Bleam” is able to connect the physical world of objects with the digital world by scanning the logo with a mobile application, offering objects the added benefit of augmented reality.
Via a mobile device, the user can instantly access all the services proposed by the object’s manufacturer: user manual, after-sales services, additional purchases, customer notifications, etc.
Ubleam has over 200 customers throughout the world (Air Liquide, Total, Air France, Enedis, Michelin, Leclerc) that use its augmented reality platform for B2B customer relationships and for monitoring industrial equipment maintenance.
Ubleam has received countless awards for its disruptive products (augmented reality business cards, factory 4.0, connected biscuit…).
A few days ago, the company launched a new website kick-starting its business strategy.
A sales and marketing center in Bordeaux
Since June 2017, the Ubleam sales and marketing team has been based at the co-working space Le Village By CA Aquitaine. The technical and customer service department remains at the company headquarters in Toulouse.
Le Village By CA, located in the center of Bordeaux, hosts approximately 30 start-ups from all industries in its 1,000 square meters of office space. It is a strategic choice for showcasing the start-up.
Four Ubleam employees are currently based in Bordeaux, and the company aims to double the size of its sales and marketing team over the next year or two.
Bordeaux’s attractiveness: a determining factor in Ubleam’s choice
With the arrival of many Parisian companies and the city’s growing national and international reach through the arrival of the LGV high-speed line and new airline routes, Samuel Boury and Olivier Mezzarobba, the engineers leading the project, were immediately convinced.
The proximity of the headquarters in Toulouse was also an advantage.
Through this Bordeaux connection, Ubleam can now benefit from an entire rich and dynamic digital ecosystem to increase the pace of its national and international development in 2018 and recruit more commercial and technical talent.
Invest in Bordeaux assisted the new location project, facilitating the company’s connections with the Bordeaux French Tech world and its integration in co-working spaces to boost business, while also supporting the company in its recruitment efforts.
