By devoting 10% of revenue to research and development, Immersion, European leader in 3D simulation systems and custom-made virtual reality, is experiencing a boom in its technology among large groups, in particular in aeronautics, and is now hiring on a massive scale.
With the one-of-a-kind Aérocampus Aquitaine training center, Immersion has created a virtual reality room fitted with a 3D image wall and two Meetiiim1 interactive tables, to train technicians in future aeronautic maintenance. These devices allow learners to practice virtual maintenance operations on numerous aircrafts which are difficult and expensive to mobilize.
Based in Bordeaux since 1994, Immersion has developed unique innovations around the world in terms of in-company collaborative work tools that have altered the way of managing large projects, such as Cube 3D, the Meetiiim table and the more recent CAVE.
Given its success with some big names in industry (Alstom, EDF, Airbus, Nestlé, Dassault, SNCF…) and the growth in its turnover (5.5 to 8.6 million euros in 2014 of which 15% in exports), the Bordeaux company is hiring: after twelve new employees in 2014, IMMERSION will reinforce its current workforce of 42 people with an extra 10 new co-workers in 2015.
The company is mainly looking for software creators, intellectual property specialists and cognitive engineers, salespeople and administrative staff.
