Boosted by its ongoing investment strategy, Maincare Solutions, editor of solutions and I.T. services in the health sector and headquartered in Canéjan near Bordeaux, has just acquired the I.T. company Amedim (headquartered in Saint-Malo).
With turnover of nearly €2M, AMEDIM, leader in the analysis of medical quality and financial optimization of health institutions in the French market, is also an actor in the IT health sector.
The two structures will merge to develop synergies and propose new offers applicable to health institutions; the whole offering has good prospects for development since 80% of French health institutions are not yet equipped with analytical and steering solutions.
Maincare Solutions (340 employees, 3,000 clients of which 80% are university hospitals (CHU) and regional hospitals (CHR)) has been producing IT solutions for French health institutions for over 15 years. It posted turnover of €43.5 million in 2015.
These solutions enable administration of the patient’s movements (admission, transfer, resource planning, health record, medical record, prescriptions…) throughout the hospital (different departments, Accident and Emergency, care unit), administration of radiology images, administrative management and oversight of medico-economic activity.
Together with Agfa Healthcare Enterprise and E-Novation, Maincare is one of three world leaders in the ICT Health Sector, with headquarters in Bordeaux.
Bordeaux affirms its leadership in telemedicine, e-health and digital health with its Health ICT cluster, membership of Digital Aquitaine and its FrenchTech label.
With 1,200 jobs and 74 companies in the sector, many SMI have found the region fertile ground for location and development.
