Bordeaux and Aquitaine, which have experienced the highest growth in terms of jobs in the digital industry, have managed to bring together more than 850 public and private stakeholders for their application for the French Tech label.
While e-commerce and gaming are the two main specialisations in Bordeaux’s digital fabric, the metropolitan area is equally well placed in big data and mobile applications.
CDiscount, the French e-commerce leader, AT Internet, a European champion in the measurement of website audiences, Concours Mania, the French pioneer in marketing devices through gamification, and Immersion, a European leader in immersive 3D technologies, are fine examples of success in the digital field.
In October 2015, Bordeaux will host the ITS World Congress on the theme of intelligent mobility.
Cité Numérique, the future “spearhead” of the Aquitaine digital economy, will have been built by 2015 and will operate as a “network leader”.
