PIM recently located to Bordeaux and is the first Fintech to associate mobile payment and solidarity efforts.
As of September 2018, residents of Bordeaux can download the PIM application and give meaning to their purchases.
A 100% connected payment solution with an inclusive approach
PIM came about in Bordeaux after a meeting between Gilles Verbecq, manager of a digital agency for 12 years, and David Boucher, who has 30 years of expertise in finance.
‘Bordeaux is a wonderful area to roll out this product in, because it is a vibrant city with is sights on innovation, and yet it retains its human dimension’ says Gilles VERBECQ, founder of PIM.
Hosted by Bordeaux Metro Pulse after a period with Héméra, the start-up, already employs 8 people and is planning to create 5 jobs in the field of sales development.
Since September, shoppers in Bordeaux who go to PIMMEUR retailers can pay for their purchases via the application. The transaction fees, debited from retailers and normally paid to the inter-banking system, are transformed into donations for French charity organisations.
An initiative which shakes up traditional payment codes to build a more responsible economy.
A project to support charity and humanitarian organisations
PIM has already signed partnerships with Les Restaurants du Cœur, Les Jardins de Cocagne, Vaincre la Mucovisidose and La Fondation Nicolas Hulot pour la Nature et l’Homme.
Wishing to integrate local life, PIM began its collaboration with stakeholders in the Bordeaux region, such as the INSEEC group, EBBS business school, and some twenty retailers, just a few days after its launch.
By 2019, PIM hopes to be a permanent feature in this ecosystem, working with both professionals and individuals to become the everyday inclusive payment means for residents of Bordeaux.
Invest in Bordeaux assisted PIM in its search for premises and fostered contacts with key accounts, local authorities and stakeholders in the social and inclusive economy.
