After opening locations in Paris, Lille and Lyon, ESME Sudria is coming to Bordeaux this autumn.
The new Bordeaux institution, a member of the IONIS Education group which also includes other Bordeaux establishments (Epitech, e-artsup, ISEFAC Bachelor, Ionis Tutoring, ISEG), will train multidisciplinary engineers in technologies of the future.
Training programs for the technological challenges of tomorrow
ESME Sudria, the regional branch of the prestigious engineering school founded in Paris in 1905, will allow Nouvelle Aquitaine students to complete the first three years of their studies in Bordeaux Metropole, on the IONIS Group’s urban campus.
The institution will train multidisciplinary engineers and prepare them for the challenges posed by technologies of the future in fields such as energy, sustainable mobility, digital intelligence and healthcare.
Students may apply to the school upon completion of a Science baccalaureate. They will spend two years completing preparatory courses before moving on to engineering courses during years three to five of the program. The program features a global and business-minded outlook, with one mandatory semester of study abroad and internships in the 4th and 5th years.
ESME Sudria Bordeaux will provide its future students with the latest educational innovations such as the e-Smart Lab, its network of digital manufacturing workshops for educational use.
Bordeaux: a favorable ecosystem for advanced technology
Over the next three years ESME Sudria plans to create approximately ten jobs (professors and administrative staff) in Bordeaux.
“Bordeaux has many valuable assets. First of all, it has a dynamic ecosystem which is favorable to innovation and advanced technology, a leading aeronautics cluster, many start-ups etc. Our new engineering program is particularly suited to this ecosystem,” explains Véronique Bonnet, Assistant Managing Director of ESME Sudria.
Invest in Bordeaux has facilitated the engineering school’s arrival in Bordeaux by putting it in contact with competitiveness clusters and specialized industry hubs (Label French Tech, Aerospace Valley etc.)
