Libourne start-up business Fermentalg specialising in the production of oils and proteins, which has major value added by micro-algae, has been successfully introduced on the stock market, having raised more than €40 million when it was expecting €27.8 million.
Market capitalisation stood at €107 million.
The proceeds of the capital injection will primarily finance the construction of an industrialisation unit for its molecules with a capacity of 80 m3, at a rate of €20 million over two years.
Fermentalg is looking to become a global leader in the industrial exploitation of micro-algae.
