A young augmented reality software publisher for industry, DIOTA, with headquarters in the Paris region, has chosen Bordeaux to be closer to the actors of the region’s aeronautics sector.
Diota will be able to consolidate the business side to its augmented reality solutions through its partnership with Aérocampus Aquitaine training center and the Dassault Aviation establishments in Aquitaine.
The location in Bordeaux of the technology transfer body CEA Tech was also decisive, as it provides access for DIOTA to unique augmented reality technology due to its strong ties with this major actor.
Diotasoft, with 15 employees (in Massy, Montpellier and Bordeaux), has created five jobs in Bordeaux and plans to increase its headcount to 12 in the first quarter of 2016.
The “Product, Innovation and R&D” Center has been set up in the Cité de la Photonique (photonics technology park) on the university campus, with an office also located in the Aérocampus Aquitaine. The company is preparing to raise funds in 2016 to accelerate its industrial and commercial development.
The support for the relocation project from Invest in Bordeaux has been instrumental in the company’s integration into the local economic and scientific community. Its role as an accelerator with expertise in business intelligence was also crucial.
Aquitaine Développement Innovation (ADI) has provided financial and logistical support to the project.
