Synolia, a French expert in CRM and e-commerce created in Lyon in 2004, has just opened a new unit in Bordeaux through the purchase of Happy Technologies, allowing the company to acquire new talents and providing potential for development.
Over the next three years it plans to double its current staff and expand its business in the greater south-west region of France.
Bordeaux, a regional center of expertise
Synolia‘s arrival in Bordeaux represents an important step in the firm’s development. Synolia provides digital consulting services for companies, and is a blend of an IT consulting firm and a web agency.
The company is specialized in implementing CRM platforms, e-commerce and Business Intelligence and is recognized for its expertise in these strategic areas for companies.
In the e-business sector, it is involved in some of the biggest online sales projects in France and Europe and is one of the main partners of publishers Oro Inc., Magento and Prestashop in France.
In the field of open source CRM, Synolia is one of the primary global partners of two platforms, SugarCRM and OroCRM.
The company also works on Business Intelligence projects, customer support for mobile platforms and portals for institutional customers.
The acquisition in late 2017 of the Bordeaux-based company Happy Technologies, specializing in implementing digital platforms, will allow Synolia to expand its expertise and offer a wider range of support services while also creating new services to assist its customers in their development.
Opening a Bordeaux office also reflects a “human” dimension
The successful acquisition of the Bordeaux-based agency Happy Technologies and its 12-person team was also a matter of skills.
“We met a close-knit, highly-skilled team who shares our values. Our Bordeaux team provides us with new expertise in mobile technologies and product customization and has brought new energy and agility to our company,” explains Synolia.
As a result of the company’s steady growth, it plans to hire around ten new employees in the coming months (Full stack developers and consultants, project managers) in order to make Bordeaux a true regional center of expertise, in addition to Lyon and Paris.
The economic vitality of the Bordeaux region, which has been boosted by the arrival of the LGV high-speed rail line between Paris and Bordeaux, and the airport offering daily flights between Lyon, Paris and Bordeaux were key factors in choosing the city.
With its three agencies in Paris, Lyon and Bordeaux the company is now located no more than two hours away from any customer in France.
A representative from Synolia describes the role Invest in Bordeaux has played, “We turned to Invest in Bordeaux for support in strategic areas. The agency provided advice and recommendations, was attentive to our needs, helped welcome us to the area and put us in contact with the local and regional ecosystem. Invest in Bordeaux helped us set up in the region and find new office space on Quai de Paludate.”
