Magic Makers, the computer code academy for kids, has chosen Bordeaux for its first branch outside the capital. The new coding school will open this summer in the city’s Chartrons district.
This new opening is part of the company’s plan to roll out its fun, creative coding workshops all over France.
With its dynamic population, innovative digital ecosystem and commitment to new forms of learning, Bordeaux was an obvious choice for this rapidly-growing start-up, fitting the bill as the ideal city in which to launch coding workshops aimed at children between the ages of 6 and 15.
Over the next three years 5 to 10 full time posts should be created, along with 30 – 50 part-time jobs (including jobs for students).
Since first launching, Magic Makers has hosted over 1500 kids at its coding sessions. The company recently raised investment capital to accelerate its development (Econocom is now a shareholder), allowing the firm to recruit new talent and expand its activities beyond the Greater Paris region.
Founded 2 years ago in Paris, Magic Makers will offer a range of activities in Bordeaux (introductory sessions, school holiday courses etc.)
