The American company Demand Driven Technologies, pioneer and world leader in demand-driven software for the supply chain, has chosen Bordeaux to set up its Europe subsidiary and thus cover the European market. Ten employees, primarily supply chain management engineers, are to be recruited in the coming 2-3 years.
A fast-growing start-up
Headquartered in Atlanta, Demand Driven Technologies was founded in 2011 and has offices in Seattle and now Bordeaux. Over the last two years, it has maintained a growth rate of +50%.
It also boasts an international network of partners to implement its solutions. French customers include the Michelin group, Pierre Fabre and Total Lubrifiants.
Demand Driven Technologies is the supplier of the first software solution in compliance with Demand Driven MRP (DDMRP), the most widely used on the market. Its cloud solutions boost the agility of the supply chain to meet a real demand that differs increasingly from forecasts.B
Bordeaux is the location to develop the first European office
Thanks to its partnership with AGILEA, the Supply Chain consultancy based in Toulouse, and with a dedicated team for its solutions based in Bordeaux, DD Tech has been building its customer base in France since 2014.
‘France is one of our biggest markets, so it was the obvious choice for the location of our European subsidiary and to allow us to capitalise on the expertise of the existing team in Bordeaux. The appeal of the Bordeaux area will attract the talents we need, air and high-speed rail connections enable us to reach across Europe and this region boasts Supply Chain excellence centres and renowned industrial players, whose agility we are looking forward to developing!’ says Bernard Milian, the new director of the Bordeaux subsidiary.
The Bordeaux-based entity will manage business
development, customer support and the tailoring of solutions to regional
specificities, with around ten employees within the next 2 to 3 years. Staff
profiles will primarily consist of supply chain management engineers with a few
A team of three, supported by local partners, is already operational.
Invest in Bordeaux is working alongside DD Tech for its location and integration in the local eco-system.
‘We are delighted to be joining the Invest in Bordeaux eco-system. The team have been very welcoming and have guided us in the development of our network and our procedures. We are Supply Chain specialists actively involved in the success of our customers’ projects and we don’t necessarily have the time, the perspective or the skills to develop our regional network,’ Bernard Milian explains.T
