CIMM leaves Paris to set up in Bordeaux. Specialized in the design and production of bespoke metal lockers, the company owes its longstanding success (since 1949) to 100% French production and high-end customer service.
“We are capable of manufacturing and replacing parts for products that were available 30 years ago”, highlights Emmanuel de Laforcade, director of this industrial SME. “The market is very competitive with a lot of imports, but few French manufacturers.”
By relocating its headquarters and production unit to Bordeaux, CIMM has opted to move closer to a number of its clients (the CEA in Le Barp, Libourne Hospital, the Conseil Départemental of the Landes, the Bardinet Group, etc.) and wishes to acquire an even greater market share.
“This will lower our cost price, therefore enabling us to be more competitive. Not to mention the impending opening of the high-speed train line, a major asset since many businesses will relocate and expand our potential for development.”
The big leap will be taken between July and October by the company whose work is divided 60%-40% public-private: a 1.5 million euro investment with 5 new job openings.
