Operation campus: 538 million euros for excellence
Making the Bordeaux campus more attractive, creating real living environments for students and boosting international visibility in the scientific sector: these are the goals set for this vast programme of urban and architectural readjustment.
This major project also gives the University the opportunity to reaffirm its goals in terms of sustainable development, to develop an innovative digital campus in Bordeaux, firmly established within the economic fabric of the region.
A world class multidisciplinary higher education centre
The University of Bordeaux was selected from the top three campuses of excellence in France as part of a national programme, “Investments for the Future”.
The project “IdEx Bordeaux” (Initiative of Excellence of Bordeaux) represents the backbone of the University of Bordeaux’s excellence strategy.
Funded to the tune of 700 million euros, this global investment programme will boost growth and encourage the development of higher education and research on the Bordeaux campus.
