Bordeaux heads the list of most attractive cities for Parisian managers for the second year running, according to a survey carried out by Cadremploi.
Nearly eight Parisian managers out of ten would like to leave Paris to settle and work in the region in the near future. They dream in particular of making Bordeaux their destination (54%), ahead of Nantes (42%) and Lyon (41.5%).
Weary of commuting time, rent costs and lack of proximity to nature, the Parisians interviewed are attracted by the quality of life in Bordeaux and the balance between professional and personal life.
Voted best European tourist destination and favorite city of the French in 2015, Bordeaux has an attractiveness which is enhanced by the arrival of the new high-speed train line putting Paris at two hours from Bordeaux in 2017, instead of three hours.
Certain economic sectors are also strong in Bordeaux such as the aeronautical, health, digital and laser sectors, and also the tertiary sector linked to property or tourism.
Whether in urban planning, transport, culture and leisure, many projects are helping to construct the future of Bordeaux and serve the whole of the metropolitan area.
