The musical platform @blitzdotcom was developed in Bordeaux by three young music engineers, and went on to win the 2015 Tremplin, a national competition for innovative enterprises co-organised by ESSEC and the Senate.
With a unique technology which allows it to centralize and organize all the contents of online music platforms on a unique portal, this site is, according to its founders, “the biggest database in the world dedicated to music”.
Blitzr’s positioning is in the “augmented streaming” market and is designed not only for listening to music but also for purchasing live concerts tickets and merchandise.
The service is available for free on the internet and mobiles, and attracts between 4000 and 5000 users a day, a large proportion of them from the United States.
Blitzr, which hopes to reach 5 million visitors in 2016, will launch a fundraising operation for two million euros to “add to” the technical and sales teams in order to “quickly move in to the English and American markets”.
