The Bordeaux start-up BASE, winner of the Eco-Entreprise 2015 environmental accolade, and specialized in solar thermal photovoltaic solutions, has just obtained its first €1M from fundraising.
Recognized in its market for its expertise and ability to innovate in the solar thermal photovoltaic industry, BASE has specifically developed and patented Cogen’Air, a high-performance solar panel which simultaneously produces electricity and heat.
This hybrid technology produces up to four times more energy than a standard photovoltaic panel.
The system, which is 100% designed and manufactured in France, is supported by the Aquitaine Regional Council, Bpifrance and other institutional and private partners.
The fundraising, which was initiated and supported by ADI (Aquitaine Développement Innovation), will enable Base to accelerate its development in the field of energy renovation of buildings with the ambition to become the European leader in solar drying for agriculture, the wood industry and the circular economy.
The historic associates are unlocking the company’s capital to two private investors: the JOHES and 1M86 groups.
