Aquitaine is France’s 3rd region for job creations according to a study by the Central Social Security Agency (ACOSS), the conclusions of which have recently been published.
With a job creation rate of 0.4% between 2011 and 2012, Aquitaine is equal with Ile-de-France and Rhône-Alpes, behind Corsica (1.2%) and Midi-Pyrénées (0.6%).
“These good results vindicate the strategy set up by the Aquitaine region over the last 15 years: support innovative businesses in promising markets, develop research and higher education, and foster cooperation between companies”, comments Alain Rousset, President of Aquitaine Regional Council.
