Aerocampus Aquitaine, which has become the number one training campus for aircraft maintenance in Europe, has just been chosen by Dubai to train 400 technicians per year, starting in 2015.
Dubai is currently building a new airport which will allow the city to double its air traffic. There will also be a huge maintenance plant where all aircraft components will be repaired.
Aérocampus will therefore be one of the building blocks for the new airport’s training cluster.
Bolstered by its international success, Aérocampus Aquitaine has launched the first Franco-German programme in France, with 15 students studying for their vocational Baccalaureate diploma in aeronautics which will be starting shortly. It is also the first training campus in the country to have an immersive virtual reality room devoted to training.
At the end of the year, 140 employees will be working on site thanks to the set-up of training centres (Welding Institute, Painting IFI (Industrial Training Institute), etc.), as well as young businesses in the incubator, such as Telespazio or Insiteo.
